🌈 Farewell with Love & Dignity

This page helps you say a gentle goodbye—clearly, calmly, and with care. Find simple guidance and trusted services across India.

What to do in the first hour
  • Choose a quiet spot. Sit with them. It’s okay to take your time.
  • If at home, place a clean sheet under your pet. Keep the room cool.
  • Call a vet or service to confirm next steps and pickup options.
  • If you wish, keep a small keepsake: a paw print, a tuft of fur, a photo.
This page is general guidance, not legal/medical advice. Follow local rules and your vet’s advice.
Cremation & Burial — Dos and Don’ts
✅ Do
  • Use licensed/approved services wherever possible.
  • Ask about private vs communal cremation and witnessing.
  • Keep documents handy (pet records, your ID, any municipal forms).
  • If burying on private land, dig deep (at least 3–4 ft), wrap with biodegradable cloth, and add lime—only if local law permits.
🚫 Don’t
  • Don’t bury on public land, parks, or near water sources.
  • Don’t use plastic bags or chemicals in burial.
  • Don’t delay arrangements in hot weather—call the service quickly.
  • Don’t assume a facility is open—always call to confirm slots.

If your city isn’t listed, please ask a local vet—they often have direct partnerships and the most up-to-date contacts.

May your companion cross the rainbow bridge in peace. 🕊️
